This is our Queen and our Mother. Oh, see how she teaches us. Her head is bowed and her hands folded. Her first lesson is a lesson in prayer. The Rosary is a meditation on the Gospel. Our Lady of Guadalupe said, "Listen and let it penetrate your heart." Let the Word of God penetrate your heart.

"I am a little child and my heart is clean.
No one shall live in it but Jesus alone."
(Old German Prayer)

The four - petal flower under her sash is a Mexican Jasmine. It is the only one and symbolizes "Life".

There are nine Mexican Magnolia Blossoms. This symbolizes the Aztec yolloxochitl – the heart flower.

It is all about Jesus and giving Him our heart.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Heart Rosary

Patroness of the Unborn

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary has colors signifying the Angel who carries her. The Angel's wings are colors of red, gold, and teal. These are the colors of the first three Hail Marys. The white heart beads of the Our Fathers speak of Her perpetual virginity. "Know for certain, littlest of my sons, that I am the perfect and perpetual Virgin Mary, Mother of the True God through whom everything lives, the Lord of all things near and far, the Master of Heaven and Earth".

The teal heart beads are Her mantle and the gold heart beads are the stars on Her mantle. These colors also signify Her royalty. The two little black heart beads represent the Aztec maternity belt She is wearing. This tells us She carries a Child. The colorful rosary cord the heart beads cover signifies how She is surrounded by rays of the sun, yet hiding the sun itself. Our Lady is more powerful that the sun god of the Aztec People, and She is more powerful than all our "sun gods" today.

The black cross on the brooch at Her neck represents that Her God is that of the Spanish missionaries, Jesus Christ, Her Son, who died on a Cross for all mankind. Our Lady was redeemed in anticipation. The Angel does not wear a Cross. Angels were not redeemed. Thus, the reason there is a black cross on Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary. The Our Lady of Guadalupe Rosary is made of little heart beads which represent Her Immaculate Heart and our hearts full of love for Her and Her Son--Her God and ours.
